Time since the last Bitcoin block

Connecting to live sources…How much time has passed since the latest confirmed Bitcoin block reported by mempool.space.
What it means
BitcoinNeon subtracts the latest block's timestamp from the current time and also displays that block's height.
Why it matters
Blocks confirm transactions and advance the chain. This measure shows how recently the network produced its latest block.
A longer interval means the network has gone longer without a new block. Random variation makes occasional long waits normal.
A short interval means a block was found recently. Bitcoin targets an average near ten minutes, not an exact schedule.
Source & methodology
mempool.space recent blocks. BitcoinNeon reads the newest block returned by mempool.space and calculates elapsed time from its timestamp in the viewer's browser.
